Captioning Boot Camp- Montgomery, AL

Eligible attendees must hold an RPR or CSR or CCR.

What?
Prince Institute, the leader in CART/Captioning education, and VITAC, the industry leader in the delivery of captioning services, have joined forces to provide current court reporting professionals a unique training opportunity to increase their skillsets by learning captioning in a boot camp setting. This training opportunity is made possible by a Realtime Writers’ grant offered by the US Department of Education. Qualified attendees may have all conference training fees fully covered. CEUs are also available!

Why?
There is a high need for qualified broadcast captioners. Your skills as a court reporter are in demand! Boost your skillset and take advantage of a unique training opportunity that can be subsidized by a grant from the US Department of Education.

How?
15 scholarships available for attendees who complete three days onsite and two online modules. The fee is $650: half is refunded after completion of the three-day portion; the other half is refunded at the end of completion of all assignments.

Who?
Prince Institute– a Stenograph School and VITAC bring the best of court reporting education and captioning services together. Start your learning at the state association meeting and continue in the comfort of your home or office with two follow-up online modules.

How Much?
The boot camp is funded by a Realtime Writers’ grant, so attendees will be on scholarship. This means that after you complete the three-day onsite portion, you will be reimbursed half of your fee. There are two online modules that follow, each consisting of about a month with weekly writing assignments and analyses. Once you complete those two online modules (we will apply for CEUs for that also), you will be refunded the rest of your $650 fee. A nominal additional cost for food and beverage will be added to the event cost (fee varies by event location, see registration fees for details).

 SPECIAL: COMBO TICKET

See both A RAISIN IN THE SUN and CLYBOURNE PARK at a special price! Purchase your ticket for RAISIN  and CLYBOURNE together for only $30.

CLYBOURNE PARK by Bruce Norris is the 2011 Pulitzer Prize winner and 2012 Tony Award.  Clybourn Park explodes in two outrageous acts set 50 years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family, who happen to be the Youngers, the protagonists of "A RAISIN IN THE SUN".  Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification.

This limited time offer is only available through the run of A RAISIN IN THE SUN and ends May 4, 2014.

A RAISIN IN THE SUN is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

CLYBOURNE PARK is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, New York.
