Join us for an intimate night of music featuring Shawn Byrne, Tiffany Goss, and Susanne Mumpower. We're bringing the songwriters in the round format that made the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville famous to Montgomery for this one night event. You'll get the chance to hear original songs and the stories that inspired them! About the songwriters: Tiffany Goss: Tiffany Goss was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and attended Troy University where she earned a degree in PR / Journalism. She moved to Nashville in 1997 where she began her career in the music industry working at the front desk of Warner Brothers Records. After being a staff writer at EMI Music Publishing and Buddy Killen Publishing, Tiffany signed with Curb Music Publishing in 2007. She had cuts by artists including Brooks and Dunn, Chris Janson, Morgan Frazier, Clay Walker, Ashley Gearing, Stealing Angels and others. Tiffany writes on guitar, is an accomplished vocalist and collaborates with many of the industry’s finest writers and artists including Lee Brice, Brandy Clark, Hal Ketchum, and Larry Gatlin. Tiffany’s songs have been featured on The Bachelor, Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray, Fox News, Hart Of Dixie, ABC and NBC. She has also toured with Loretta Lynn and Clay Walker. Shawn Byrne: www.shawnbyrnecountry.com Shawn Byrne moved to Nashville in 2003 and began washing dishes at the Bluebird Cafe. He was surrounded nightly by some of the best writers in the industry and these connections eventually led to his first major cut. His song "Ol' Cook Pot" was recorded by Americana band The Duhks on their Grammy nominated album Migrations and earned Shawn a SESAC writers award. Since that first cut, Shawn has gone on to have songs recorded by artists from Nashville to Australia. He has also earned the reputation of being one of the go-to guitar players in town, touring in the past with acts such as Rodney Atkins, Ashton Shepherd, Kelleigh Bannen, and Mark Collie. It was while on tour with Rodney Atkins that Shawn met the woman that would later become his wife at the Alabama National Fair. Susanne Mumpower: www.iodinemusic.com Growing up in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, where the lines of East Tennessee and Virginia intersect, it is easily discernible where singer/songwriter Iodine draws her inspiration. She has been "dipped and stewed" in rich mountain roots, which is reflected strongly in her musical style and writing. Susanne signed her first publishing deal in 2001 and hasn't stopped since. Alabamians might be familiar with her song "Girls Go Out" that was cut by local artist Donica Knight. The song she considers her most important co-write came thru the eyes of a child. The song I am Strong was written for all children fighting cancer and received a song of the year nomination at the IBMA Awards. The song features Dolly Parton, Joe Nichols, The Grascals, Darryl Worley, Terri Clark, Steven Seagal, Randy Owen, Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels and Tom T Hall. Dolly told the writers, “You will write many more songs, but never one this important”.
