The Story of God Leader Training

The Storyformed Way was created by the Soma family of churches to be a starting point of discipleship. It is typically a 10 week journeythrough the Story with times of dialogue, interaction and reflection that serve as a foundation fornew disciples (anyone you are in a relationship with) and gives more mature disciples an easy, reproducible method for introducing groups of people (or an individual) to the claims of Christand what it means to be a disciple.

We will be walking through all ten parts of the Story over the course of a Saturday. There will be a time for lunch in the middle and a time for prayer at the end.

This event is sponsored and hosted by Viam Crucis free and is open to anyone in ministry or who just wants to understand the Story method better.

2014 Ready Alabama Day

Alabama historically has a high number of disasters. From 2004 to the present, our State has experienced Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina, the Enterprise tornado, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, the 2011 historic Tornado Outbreak, the 2014 winter ice storm, and most recently the April 2014 tornado and flooding event. Alabamians are vulnerable to every type of disaster. Preparedness is the key to saving lives, property, and building resilient communities.

As in years past, September has been designated National Preparedness Month by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and September 11th, the National Day for Service and Remembrance. As part of its efforts, Serve Alabama, Governors Office of Faith-Based and Volunteer Service and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency will host Alabamas eleventh annual Ready Alabama Day on September 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Capitols Circle of Flags in Montgomery, Alabama.

Ready Alabama Day provides a unique opportunity for professional and volunteer responders to interact with citizens by exhibiting response equipment, hosting interactive demonstrations, and stressing the importance of citizen preparedness. The goal of Ready Alabama Day is to increase public awareness about the importance of preparing for any type of disaster or emergency as well as demonstrating our states response capabilities.

Governor Robert Bentley will be in attendance along with hundreds of other Alabamians to recognize all of those who play a role in the response and recovery phases of all disaster. We invite and encourage your organization to participate in this important, statewide event.
